Sweet Little Boys

I was delighted to have created these two large canvases for a sweet family. I think they'll be darling on the wall of a bedroom or game room. The collage was made with lines from a sweet poem by Shel Silverstein. The letters are wooden, from Michaels. I used all original vintage children's readers for the backgrounds, and then lightly textured and painted over them. I sealed the entire canvas with Mod Podge.

May Things

Wow! It's been quite a while since I've posted!! I've been getting ready for my annual art camp for little girls the past few months. I'll have about 26 girls coming in and out during a week in June.

Lots of fun projects for the girlies!!

 I've been organizing lately...

My family will be packing up soon because we are building a house in more of a rural style area. Yay!! Getting nervous about packing all of this stuff!

Start the New Year with a SCRUB!

Hurray for 2013!!

I've been making little jars of hand scrub for bridal and baby showers. I also made a few for my fellow teachers for the holidays. There are so many wonderful scrub recipes on Pinterest! The simplest ones are the best. The most popular around is the combination of a box of Kosher Salt and Dawn Oil of Olay dishwashing soap found here: One Good Thing by Jillee

Makes a huge batch of awesome smelling effective scrub. I bought a set of small mason jars at Walmart. I spray painted the lids and heat set them. I then hot glued cute flowers (Michael's Bridal) on the lids. Thank you Pinterest!

Have fun!
